I had just got my car back from the shop, and the Indy had mentioned he threw a bit of gas in the tank since it was pretty low. But I've been reading so much that I am beginning to get suspicious of everything. Those are in order that I think most to least likely. Possible culprits that I am still considering: If memory serves, the fuel pump, fuel filter and FSU were replaced 7 years and 60k mi ago.ĮDIT: I checked my records and the fuel pump was replaced at 60k, not 60k ago. I don't have my maintenance records in front of me, but I did take a look at them. I'm not an expert on what a bad pump sounds like, but this one sounded fine. The pump was much quieter than I expected, but it seemed to be working just fine. I had the rear seat already out because I suspected a bad fuel pump originally. The secret menu 6 readings seem to match the fuel gauge, so I'm not sure if this is the problem. I just can't remember which side of the tank the jet pump pushes the fuel to. I can’t find the thread that I was looking at, but I thought I read that having a 0 reading for one side of the fuel tank was not abnormal when the tank was low as the jet pump in the tank pushes the gas to one side of the tank. I pulled the codes and had the following: I was able to hear it after 2 attempts of placing the ignition to position 2. Fuel pump relay appears to be working, I felt the clicking with 2 attempts putting the ignition to position 2.ģ. I have started it one more time and it started up on first attempt, but idle hunts very rhythmically.Ģ. There was a strong smell of gas in my garage, though I attributed this largely to the 3 starts in quick succession. Third attempt did stay running, but idle was still not very smooth. Second attempt car did start but died almost immediately as RPM dropped below normal idle. Upon trying to start the next day, the car stalled on first attempt. My low fuel light had just come on and had approximately 50 mi range according to the computer. I was in a neighborhood, and very close to home, so I never got above 3k RPM, but I do recall it smoothing out as I increased RPM above 2k or so. The last time I drove the car after about a 30 min drive the throttle became jerky at low RPM.
